12 Nov The Sweet Taste of Victory at Sea Captain’s House
The Grand Strand boasts a wide selection of restaurants to dine at, from fine dining to hole-in-the-wall “secret spots”; there is something to please everyone’s palate. With so many options to choose from, it’s a constant battle to stand out amongst the masses. At Sea Captain’s House, we strive to serve the freshest ingredients in our culinary dishes that we take pleasure in creating and hope to provide a warm and inviting dining atmosphere that keeps our customers coming back.
This past month has been a part of “award season” for area restaurants here in Myrtle Beach. From the Taste of the Town, Best of the Beach 2016, and the Grand Strand Magazine Best of the Grand Strand, there has been a lot of coverage of all the amazing cuisine this area has to offer. Sea Captain’s House is happy to announce that we won awards in all of these competitions that took place this past October.
Taste of the Town is an annual fundraiser hosted by the St. Andrew’s Catholic School where local Grand Strand restaurants showcase some of their finest dishes and compete for awards such as Best Entrée, Best Dessert, Best Booth Design, and People’s Choice. We are proud to say we did exceptionally well with our seasonal fall dishes that we entered and took home a few awards. First Place for Best Dessert went to our White Chocolate Pumpkin Cheesecake with a Ginger Snap. Our Autumn Spiced Pan-Seared Scallops won Third Place for Best Entrée. We designed our booth to have the feel of our restaurant and it won Third Place for Best Booth Design. You’ll have to come by and taste the seasonal White Chocolate Pumpkin Cheesecake everyone is still raving about!
The Best of the Beach 2016 Awards is an annual review by the Sun News, Myrtle Beach’s local newspaper, that features top Grand Strand area businesses and restaurants. This year we are thrilled to have won First Place for Best Place for Brunch. Apparently other people love our oceanfront view just as much as we do because we were ranked among the top 3 for Restaurant with a View. As a restaurant known for it’s delicious seafood, we were delighted to be listed in the top 3 for Place for Seafood. So if you haven’t already, what better time than now to come check out our brunch with a view!
Each year Grand Strand Magazine, a magazine that features the culture and events of the area, creates a poll for readers to go online and vote for various restaurants in order to organize a “best of” guide for the Grand Strand. With so many excellent restaurants in the running, Sea Captain’s House was honored to be one of the top 5 for Best Place for Seafood. We have a passion for serving quality seafood and would love for you to come sample one of our Chef’s fresh “catch of the day”, shrimp scampi, shrimp and grits, or sautéed crab cakes.
We are flattered and humbled by all these recent awards and recognition. It’s always a pleasure to compete amongst local area restaurants because not only does it challenge us to constantly produce new exciting culinary dishes, but it also keeps us focused on keeping our customer service top-notch at the core of everything we do.
