21 Sep Sample Sea Captain’s at Myrtle Beach Fall Food Festivals
Fall has officially arrived in Myrtle Beach! At Sea Captain’s House restaurant, the mums are adding pops of bright colors around the restaurant and our chef is busy incorporating seasonal spices and ingredients into our dishes. While the weather may be cooling down and the crowds waning, that doesn’t mean things are slowing down at Sea Captain’s. We’re busy testing recipes in the kitchen as we prepare for the upcoming fall food festival we’re participating in.
The 35th Annual Taste of the Town will be held on October 9, 2018 at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. This event highlights the amazing restaurants around the Grand Strand as the chefs compete in a lighthearted culinary competition. There are culinary awards given out for Best Entree, Best Dessert, Best Booth Design, People’s Choice and Kid’s Choice. At the 33rd Annual Taste of the Town in 2016, we featured Autumn Spiced Pan Seared Scallops for our Entree and the dessert was a White Chocolate Pumpkin Cheesecake with Ginger Snap. These were a hit and we took home multiple awards including Third Place for Best Entree, First Place for Best Dessert, and People’s Choice Award for Best Dessert. We also got creative with our booth and won Third Place for Best Booth Design.
At Sea Captain’s House, we believe it’s important to be involved in the community in which you do business. We love being able to support a local school by participating in the Taste of the Town, an event that really showcases local restaurants.
