29 Aug Fall-ing for Sea Captain’s House Restaurant in Myrtle Beach
As summer fades to fall at the Sea Captain’s House, that doesn’t mean things will slow down. In fact we have a lot of exciting events coming up this fall – from festivals to wine dinners – that we think you’ll definitely want to check out!
This September we’re kicking off a brand new Happy Hour menu at Sea Captain’s House. From clams and steak skewers to ahi tuna and shrimp tacos – there will be a wide variety of finger foods to munch on. Whether you sit at the bar, grab a high top table with your friends or mosey to the outdoor patio – you’ll be taken care of and receive full service dining. The fall is the perfect time of year to sit outdoors in the evenings with a gentle ocean breeze as you enjoy sipping on a cold cocktail as the sun sets. Plus we still feature live music every night through the end of September.
Myrtle Beach Seafood Festival
We’ll be participating in the annual Myrtle Beach Seafood Festival, which will be held October 5th through 7th. This festival takes place oceanfront in the Burroughs & Chapin Pavilion Place and highlights the plethora of local seafood restaurants around the Grand Strand. We always love participating and showcasing some our seafood specialties. In the past we’ve featured our She Crab Soup and Shrimp Salad on a Croissant. The admission is free and there will be plenty of live entertainment, two beer stations, and kid-friendly activities. On Saturday there will be a car show and a corn hole tournament hosted by Coastal Tailgating.
Taste of the Town
October is going to be a busy month at Sea Captain’s House! Right after we wrap up the three day Myrtle Beach Seafood Festival, we’ll be participating in the 35th Annual Taste of the Town. The Taste of the Town takes place on October 9th at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. This event is the original food festival of Myrtle Beach and is a fundraiser for St. Andrews Catholic School. This festival highlights all the cuisine around Myrtle Beach and includes culinary awards, live entertainment and a beer garden. In the past we’ve received awards for our dessert and creative booth design. We always look forward to this event as a way to challenge our chefs to get creative in the kitchen.
This fall we’re introducing something brand new at Sea Captain’s House – Wine Dinners. These private dinners will be hosted in our upstairs charter room and feature a chef selected menu paired with wine. We’ll have a wine expert guiding you through the whole experience as you enjoy learning something new, a delicious dinner and an award winning view. If you’d like to partake in one of these wine dinners, make sure to sign up for our Legacy Loyalty Program.
We’ve been serving full service dinners on our outdoor patio all summer long, and while the summer evenings have been pleasant – fall is really the peak time to enjoy dining outdoors. There’s something to be said about enjoying fresh seafood that’s not frozen because it was caught from the very ocean you’re sitting across. Soak up the salt air and ocean breeze and enjoy a unique award winning oceanfront dining experience.
People assume there’s nothing to do at the beach once summer ends – but it’s the complete opposite. There’s still plenty to see, do – and taste – at Sea Captain’s House this fall!
